LES GARDONS CEVENOLS

The Gardons Cévenols, ideally situated in the heart of the Cévennes, offer us three rivers that have their source up to an altitude of 900m. From La-Can-de-Hospitalet to the Bougès mountain, let yourself be seduced by waters ideal for fishing. Real reserve for fario trout, the karstic terrain allows them to grow up faster. The Gardons Cévenols are classified first category.

The Cévennes Gardons mainly comprise three rivers which have their source between 700 and 900 m above sea level, at the heart of an arc of a circle which runs from La Can-de-l'Hospital in the west to the slopes of the Bougès mountain in the east.

Fario trout are numerous on the Gardons Cévennes except in the most upstream sectors with a very steep slope where fish productivity is very low, and in the lower parts more favourable to white-water cyprinids.

The Gardons cévenols, classed as first category in Lozère, offer perfectly limpid and quality water.

The Gardon de Sainte Croix is labelled "River in good condition".
