VILLAGE DE LAUBERT

The commune of Laubert was created in 1873. It includes the village of Gourgons and the Pierre Plantée pass

Old village with a mountain climate characterized by persistent snow in winter, Laubert has many remarkable old buildings, such as this old fountain covered with a Philibert roof. It is here that, for a long time, the village washerwomen came to wash their clothes

Another building attracts the eye by its massive appearance enthroned in the middle of the village. It is the old medieval castle of the village, of which only the keep remains. One can see on this tower, reworked for the last time in the 18th century, the corbels that supported the machicolation that overhangs the tower.
