The architecture of the city preserves witnesses of the old city with the vestiges of the old castle at the level of the place du Portalet but also with the remains of the ramparts visible from the rue des Charchaires. The market square has buildings dating from the 17th century and houses with an overhang where merchants used to take shelter

Other buildings are remarkable for their age, such as the Bonnet house with its half-timbering and blue window contours.

Other curiosities are scattered throughout the city, such as the small Notre-Dame-des-Voyageurs chapel north of the city, built in 1850.
