From an early age, he loved to draw. At the age of 50, he began painting abstract motifs in acrylics, inspired by the works of Kandinsky.
Later, seduced by photographs of people taken during his many travels, he decided to paint their faces.
Thus Christian Serre moved from the abstract to the figurative.
