TRAIN LES GORGES DE L'ALLIER
Departing from Clermont-Ferrand aboard a historic train from the 30s to the 70s, you'll discover the Allier Gorges, and its majestic landscapes that you can only admire from the railroad. Once on board, relax? the train takes care of everything! At midday, we arrive at the terminus: LANGOGNE! You have 4 hours of free time. Reservations required.
Criss-crossing the Auvergne region, our historic trainset features cars from the 1960s with orange skai benches.
Our train will be pulled by locomotive 140 C 27, a 1916 monster of iron and smoke preserved by our friends at GADEFT.
Departing from Clermont-Ferrand, you'll take your seats in historic equipment from the 30s to the 70s, preserved and maintained by the association (the carriages are arranged in compartments of 8 seats each with a side corridor).
You'll discover the Gorges de l'Allier, with its majestic landscapes that you can only admire from the railroad. Once on board, relax? the train takes care of everything! during the 4h40-minute journey through the heart of deepest France, in the vintage atmosphere of an old-fashioned train.
As the clock approaches noon, we arrive at the terminus: LANGOGNE!
On the spot, you have 4 hours free to discover the Millenium town, wandering from alley to alley, discovering our heritage, including the Calquières Spinning Mill Museum.
Or eat out. If you're having lunch in a restaurant, don't hesitate to reserve your table before the day.
Lozeriens Lozeriennes, you can also come and admire the 140 C 27 locomotive at Langogne station.
In partnership with Restaurant La Table de Bistou, we are offering a 20? menu (subject to availability).
