CONCOURS-CONSEILS
The Concours-Conseils is a classical music competition for violin and piano in the heart of the Cévennes, involving children and adults from all over the Occitanie region. It is open free of charge to the public who wish to attend the performances. A free exhibition of instruments and keyboards from all periods will also be held in the adjoining hall.
The Concours-Conseils is a classical music competition for violin and piano in the heart of the Cévennes, involving children and adults from all over the Occitanie region. It is open free of charge to the public who wish to attend the performances. A free exhibition of instruments and keyboards from all periods will also be held in the room adjoining the concert hall.
This competition differs from others in that the ultimate aim is not necessarily to compete, but to receive pedagogical advice that will help the student to progress, to experience playing in front of a jury and an audience while mastering one's emotions, and to create energy between musicians. Nevertheless, rewards will be awarded for each category: medal of courage, bronze medal, silver medal, gold medal, accompanied by a written appraisal with advice.

The competition is presided over by a 3-member jury, all state-qualified and fully committed to the spirit of benevolence that characterizes this project. Pianists will play on a grand piano, and some participants will be accompanied by a professional piano accompanist.
