EGLISE SAINT-PRIVAT

The Romanesque church of Pierrefiche is mentioned in documents as early as 1249. The name Pierrefiche comes from the presence of the Menhir planted not far from the village. Indeed, it is on the road D60, connecting Pierrefiche to the Cellier.

In the Middle Ages, the Church of St. Privat belonged to the Hospitallers of St. John of Jerusalem, the Knights of Malta. Historic capitals carved with figures and geometric motifs enrich the arched entrance portal with semi-circular arches. In 1890, the church was given a square spire bell tower.
