EGLISE SAINT-GERMAIN-DE-CALBERTE

This church originally belonged to the abbey of Saint-Pierre de Sauves. It's a transitional building: pointed barrel vaults have replaced semi-circular arches, both in the nave and in the voussoirs of the portal. A light band, supported by tiny modillions, runs along the base of the vaults. Five chapels extend the nave, one to the north and four to the south.

This church originally depended on the abbey of Saint-Pierre de Sauves. It is a transitional building: the broken cradle has replaced the semicircular arch of the nave and the vaults of the portal. A light band, supported by tiny modillions, runs at the base of the vaults. Five chapels enlarge it, one to the north and four to the south.

In 1900 - 1901, the bell tower was rebuilt to house the bell and the communal clock.

A chandelier from the end of the 16th century, a gilded wooden Virgin, a statue of Our Lady of the Victories from the period of Louis-Philippe, are the treasures housed in the church of Saint-Germain in addition to its pulpit.
