The commandery of Palhers was founded by the Knights of the Temple in the Middle Ages. A few peasants and craftsmen settled around it, and this is how the village of Palhers was created. Adjacent to the commandery, the dovecote stands on the edge of the village square of Palhers. It is not damaged and still welcomes some pigeons passing through.
