CHAPELLE DES PENITENTS

Built in 1627, this Chapel welcomed in 1721 the States of Gévaudan, an assembly of the Clergy of the Nobility and the Third State at a time when the plague was raging throughout the County. During the revolution in 1793 the Surveillance Committee responsible for ensuring the security of the Republic met here.
