Present in the wild only in northern Europe, the European bison has been reintroduced here, where it lives in semi-liberty on over 200 hectares of unspoilt countryside.
Visitors to Sainte-Eulalie can discover the reserve on a guided tour in a horse-drawn carriage, or by sleigh in winter, for a close-up view of the herds.
A museum space traces the history of the bison from prehistoric times to the present day, and a restaurant-snack bar completes the visit.
