📍 Florac Trois Rivières
VALLEES DU TARN, TARNON ET DE LA MIMENTE
This site is centred on the Cevennes rivers on the Atlantic slope and their associated environments (riparian forests and associated river bank environments). These are habitats for two mammals: the otter (Lutra lutra) and the beaver (Castor fiber).
Located on the Atlantic slope at the limit of the watershed, these rivers are important relays for the colonisation by these animals of the headwaters of the Mediterranean slope.
This site presents a great diversity of natural habitats, as well as a great wealth of flora and fauna.
In certain conditions at the bottom of the ravine, forest formations of the Tilio-Acerion, a priority natural habitat, develop.
