VALLEE DE LA TRUYERE
Situated between the Aubrac and Margeride plateaus, the Truyère valley features steep, rocky, inaccessible slopes covered with acidiphilous oak, Scots pine and beech forests.
Between the reliefs of Aubrac and Margeride, the Truyère valley reveals itself through steep, rocky slopes that are often difficult to access. This wild landscape is dominated by a forest mosaic of acidiphytic oak, Scots pine and dense beech forests.
This natural sanctuary is a haven for birdlife, home to prestigious species such as the Peregrine Falcon and the Great Horned Owl, which benefit from the isolation of the steep cliffs.
