TRUC DE BALDUC

The Truc de Balduc is a limestone table in the centre of a large sedimentary basin in the Valdonnez, crossed by the rivers Bramont and Nize.

The top of the Truc is the domain of crops and hay meadows, the sloping foothills are largely covered by black pine forests and the gentle slopes below are occupied by meadows, crops and pastures arranged in bocage.

The cliffs are home to birds and rock plants.

How to get there

The summit is accessible from the hamlet of Varazoux to hikers familiar with steep slopes.
