SITE NATURA 2000 - HABITATS : LE SABOT DE VENUS

The Venusian hoof is a rare orchid at the European and national level, which has moreover earned it protection by decree at the national level. It is a perennial plant of 25 to 60cm with pubescent stems bearing 3 to 5 oval and lanceolate leaves. The flowers are very large; sepals and petals are lanceolate and purple while the labellum is yellow in the shape of a hoof streaked with purple.
