In the depression areas, in contact with the streams and springs, a minimum of 62 wetlands for a total area of almost 13 hectares have been identified. Most of these wetlands are peat bogs. Their presence attests to particular ecological conditions (cold climate and humidity with a positive water balance).
These environments, resulting from the last ice ages, are extremely fragile and sensitive to any disturbance in their hydrological functioning.
