L'ESSENTIEL DES GORGES DU BRAMONT

"A magnificent itinerary that plunges us into the heart of the little-known yet sublime Gorges du Bramont"

After a short section on the road (approx. 500 m), the first half of the itinerary consists of a bucolic path against the river: the vegetation is beautiful, the river powerful, the path pleasant. The climb is very gradual, with no particular difficulties. Arrival at the hamlet of La Fage marks the end of the climb. Here you can quench your thirst (fountain) and admire the Tourmente bell tower. We then take a path that offers splendid views over the Gorges and the valley, including the Puechs des Bondons and the truc de Balduc. Halfway down, we marvel at the hamlet of Bassy, 3 houses with typical granite architecture, seemingly out of time. The descent ends on a slightly steeper track that leads straight back to the village of Saint Etienne.
