GORGES, CIRQUE DE POUGNADOIRES ET CAUSSE DE SAUVETERRE
The route begins with six kilometers of flat, often shaded path along the banks of the Tarn. You pass through the village of Saint Chély du Tarn and the hamlet of Pougnadoires. From there, it's uphill to Cabrunas, the hamlet of Sauveterre. A path catches up with the GR de pays, which we follow to Dignas, where we begin the descent to Saint Enimie.
The route starts calmly with six kilometers of flat stretches along the banks of the Tarn on a pleasant, often shady path. You pass through the beautiful village of Saint Chély du Tarn and the hamlet of Pougnadoires. From here, it's a dry climb to Cabrunas, the hamlet of Sauveterre. Panoramic views of the Cirque de Pougnadoires, Saint Chély and the Cévennes ridge front in the distance. A path catches up with the GR de pays, which we follow to Dignas, where we begin the descent to Saint Enimie (first part quite steep, end more rolling).
