LE TARN
The Tarn is one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe in terms of fishing. It is born at an altitude of 1550 m, on the Mont-Lozère. You can fish for trout, very big barbels, vandoises, chub, invading seats, minnows... Classified in 1st category over 100 kms, on the whole of its Lozerian course - you can fish for trout, fly fishing, minnows, to each his own technique..
The Tarn river originates at 1560 m of altitude, on the southern flank of the Mont Lozère, in the north of the commune of Pont-de-Montvert. It will present, on approximately 100 km of its Lozere course, a succession of profiles.
For most of its course, the Tarn is a river of gorges. These are located between the localities of Quézac and Le Rozier over a length of 53 km. The Tarn has marked seasonal fluctuations in flow, with winter-spring floods. Low water occurs in summer, from July to September.
