LE LOT
The Lot originates at an altitude of 1200 m on the southern slope of the Goulet mountain. Stretching for about 95 km as it crosses the Lozère, it successively crosses elements of the three main rocks of the department: schist, granite and limestone.

It is in particular by penetrating the karstic grounds that the Lot will offer to the trout fario the possibilities of a faster growth. A population of common grayling, introduced a few years ago, is present in the vicinity of Chanac. It includes barbels, but also chub, chub, vandoises and seabirds, in significant quantities and whose presence is unquestionably penalizing for the salmonids.
In its crossing of the Lozère, the Lot is entirely classified in 1st category.
