LE PONT DE LA COLAGNE
Probably built at the end of the 11th - beginning of the 12th century, this bridge on three arches, two of which are on the direct bed of the Colagne, facilitated access to the crops of the Bories plateau, but also to the Lot valley and the Causses.
Built on three arches, two of which are on the direct bed of the Colagne, this bridge has a yellow sandstone structure very similar to that of the priory and the cellars of the houses built on the banks of the river. Its construction can be dated back to the end of the 11th/beginning of the 12th century and facilitated access to the crops of the Bories plateau, but also to the Lot valley and the Causses. One can see bolt holes facilitating the leaning of wooden constructions, intended to house different types of mills and wash houses. The use of water for different purposes, initiated by the monks, can still be seen. Two turning areas still remain. On the village side, on the right bank, there are two buildings oriented perpendicularly to the Colagne and very close to the water, whose driving force leads us to believe that they were former mills. From the middle of the bridge, you can see the pier that was reinforced to withstand the current in the event of flooding.
